Lac Perdu: Gite!

We are very happy to say that our gite is now available for booking. Please see our gite page for full details.

We have installed a brand new fitted kitchen, fully equipped with everything necessary for a longer stay in this beautiful part of France.

With these self-catering facilities, it will be easier for guests to stay with us for extended periods – making it less expensive to feed the family in the summer, and providing choice in the low season when there are fewer restaurants open.

We hope to welcome you soon!

Award-winning Lac Perdu!

We are very happy when guests give us a good review – feedback is very important to us. There are some things that we cannot do anything about – we cannot create a nearby golf course or hot night club if guests haven’t realised that the nearest is an hour away. But we always take the things that are in our control seriously.

We are happy that we received the top award from Booking.com in both 2015 and 2016 in recognition of our high guest review scores (50 reviews at last count), and our current Google Business rating is 4.7 out of 5.

Find us on Booking.com or Google Maps to see all our reviews.

We’re very happy to announce that the Chambres d’Hotes de Lac Perdu bed & breakfast, set in the sunny south-west of France, is open for guests!

Run by Anglo-Irish couple, Bob and Patsy Yorke, Lac Perdu sits beneath the Chateau de Puivert, in the rural foothills of the Pyrenées mountains, in south-west France. We are situated in the Haute Vallée de l’Aude (the High Valley of the River Aude), within reach of Carcassonne, Perpignan, Toulouse and Girona (Spain) airports, and surrounded by stunning rural countryside in all directions.
